A few weeks ago, we attended our cousin’s wedding – a weekend affair at the Yale Club in NYC. Lisa & I met when she was a teen. We share a special bond that started when she had her first manicure & up-do for my wedding, and it has continued through college, job searches, and the ups/downs life throws at you. As I watched her become a Mrs., I couldn’t help but remember those now-fleeting moments and recall how important they were to me. ❤
When she met Jeff, she met her match: they became best friends, and each others biggest advocates. The family was hoping they would be together to enjoy life’s long adventure, & they did. So the adventure started with a special event planned with great care for their family & friends, whom came from all over the country. We can’t wait to see what comes next for them.
I have several pictures that capture the event, love and laughter we shared. The pics were taken by the amazing Julian Mackler, a extremely talented photographer. Definitely check his work out here.
Saturday night was my Stella & Dot fall trunk show. What fun! Wine, strawberries, and bite-sized frozen chocolate covered banana’s (made by moi – not bad right?) – we enjoyed a ladies night in. Joined by family and friends – there were lots of laughs.
Stella & Dot has created an unbelievable line. I am still wondering if I selected the right pieces (for now!). From impossibly chic statement pieces, delicate earrings and chunky bracelets – I think I tried on everything! Have you checked out the fall line? If not, you can see it all here. Here are some pics from the party!
Ladies night in & the shopping begins!
New series of street shots ootd: Pic #1) Taken by a lovely stranger, selling fresh fruit in lower Manhattan. Dress Trina Turk, old but here is one equally as summery, worn with older JCrew sandals, similar here; Pic 2) Watch = Tag Heur, Bracelets: Tiffany Heart tag charm, Stella & Dot Renegade bracelet Pic 3) Pedicure = Essie Good as Gold Metallic.
Decisions, decisions. I love both of these bangles from Stella & Dot. But how can to pick only one. I am so excited for Saturday’s jewelry show. Family & friends are coming over for some wine & nibbles and to be styled for the fall. Sounds like a perfect evening to me. I wish you could join us… oh but there is a way. I promised you a surprise, didn’t I?
You can join in the fun – by clicking here to visit my Stella & Dot online shop. It’s up for the show and available early for you all. So, my question for you is, which item on the shop will you choose?
In late June we attended a fun & festive nautical themed wedding… All the details were touched by the sea. Loved the blue & white candy table, the sea-critter themed tables (hello Lobster table) & all the blue/white decor. We had such fun with husbands co-workers, dancing the night away. I think we only sat for dinner! How could we not – the dj played every hip hop song from the 90s… I wore a beautiful Ann Taylor black lace dress (older but similar here) with my Jimmy’s (here). It was a truly a wonderful event & proper (if not slightly rowdy) send off for J&C B.
