What an amazing birthday celebration (mine!).  Actually, it was over the course of two days, plus a promise of another for next Saturday.  My family gathered for some fresh air while we picked apples at a nearby farm.  Cousins played, and joked.  Conversation and photos a plenty.  Cider donuts enjoyed thoroughly.  All 12 of us packed into our tiny home for a great home made Italian meal made by yours truly, & some freshly baked apple pie.  This day was followed by an equally wonderful, though quieter, Sunday dinner with my parents, in the home I grew up in. We were super busy with many to do’s: coloring with B, watching N ride his ripstick, watching the Giants & Yankees with Dad & my hubs, and catching up with my Mom.  Yep, a lovely weekend.  All a girl could ask for…

And on those well wishes for another happy & healthy year –  today I start at my new company & job. I am so excited mixed with a twinge of new kid/first day of school butterflies.  So this quote – taking chances – is our motto.  Perfection is difficult to achieve but if I come kinda close, this will be a great year.
