October 1.  My morning train had the heat on.  And while officially its been Autumn for a full week, today it really hit me.  The cooler & crisper weather is here.  So are the beautiful fall colors:  pumpkin, chestnut, burgundy (you know how I feel already about the ‘other’ name for burgundy).  Its the right season for a new start.

Last week I announced to my company that I was taking on a new opportunity.  I, like this picture, am turning over a new leaf- taking on a new challenge.  That, if I were completely honest with myself, I have been ready for for awhile.  I now walk forward into a new season & endeavor – lots of possibilities.

Wishing you a Happy October 1, and hoping you have a season full of possibilities too.

A lot has been said about the color Oxblood.  Mostly about the ghastly name.  I prefer to stay in keeping with my beverage of choice: burgundy, merlot…wine.  Feels richer, more layered, warmer.  (Less icky to be perfectly honest.) Today’s posts share some of my favorite items across my favorite sites in this autumn hue.  I have added a pair of burgundy skinnies & a wine colored top with jeweled cuffs to my wardrobe.  Can’t wait to break them out.  I am wondering, are you embracing this color trend?  What are you picking up in this color?

There it is: the small shift in the air. Ooo look that tree is starting to change…one leaf, two. Autumn is almost upon us.

In NYC, today is a dreary rainy morning. Still, Autumn is there, on the precipice, inviting us in with its promise of apple cider, fires in the fireplace, warm & cozy evenings with family & friends.

Its time for the seasons to change & it happens automatically. As I think through a potential change in my life, can I dig deep enough to make my choice as seamless as Summer’s passing into Autumn? I hope so.
